Q & A
Q. Do you require Draping?
A. Yes. I generally use a non traditional drape, so I can work on the abdomen and glutes. There are different options available including a sheet, bath towel or a small towel, or you can just wear underwear or a swim suit with no additional drape.
Q. What is a Drape? What Does Draping mean?
A. A "Drape" is how you are covered in the massage. Generally a drape means a sheet and often spas and clubs will not aalow employees to work on the abdomen or glutes. Vital areas are always kept covered as to provide a trusting, relaxing experience for the Therapist and the Client. Most States including Texas require a drape be used. It is the Law.
Q. What kind of massage do you do?
A. I am certified in over a dozen different modalities or types of massage. I generally do a personalized combination of techniques based on what I find in your muscles. I start out with some longer lighter strokes, the firmer pressure comes later, after I Palpate target zones and find which points are most in need of my attention. Larger muscle groups, I will generally knead and used a full pressure stripping stroke using the forearm and/or full arm to apply steady pressure over the largest muscle areas so that I am breaking up the Knots/Trigger Points and massaging them toward the nearest Lymph Drain areas which is helping rid the body of waste caused by sickness, stress, fatigue and working out, it helps speed the production of new lymph and boosts your immune system.
Q. What is a Knot or Trigger Point?
A. A Knot or Trigger Point is an area of super contracted muscle fibers and accumulated waste wraped around a nerve receptor, a Knot or Trigger Point can feel either like hardened nodules or in longer muscles such as the along the spine they can feel like a long taut band of elongated fiberous muscle tissue. Usually formed in muscle tissue that is over stressed, overused or injured. The muscle can sometimes be shortened, causing stress to the opposing side as well.

A. It is at your discretion. A welcomed gesture that is appreciated because it tells the therapist she/he is highly valued, although tipping is not the only way to show gratitude, it is understood that not everyone can afford to tip even if they value the therapist.
