I touch the way I like to be touched. I give a massage that alerts the  senses in a quiet, clean, safe

environment. Depending on the climate in  the room, you can choose from several draping options, either

the traditional sheet covering you & having each limb/area covered & uncovered as I work or you can

choose a non-traditional drape which is  -- a towel, large or small... or if you would rather... you can wear

a T-shirt & gym shorts, swimsuit or your boxers instead. You will have a choice of oil, lotion, emollient

cream or powder, & will be stretched unless you otherwise specify.

My massage style is a combination of longer lighter strokes with deeper, more firm pressure in the target

zones, palpating trigger points, kneading large muscle groups, variations from deeper to lighter longer

strokes in a unique blend and rhythm, style & technique.  In my work, I consider systems of thought and

feeling that lie beyond the current constraints of mainstream academia. My experience in bodywork  has

helped me discover how much ancient wisdom is in the motion of the body, poetry in the pulsing of the

blood. The miracle of self-aware consciousness... being present in each moment, both in movement & in

stillness. This focus provides an environment for stilling the mind, deepening body awareness, & allowing

life energy to flow more freely. Besides my unique combination of styles of massage, I combine the

education with my own exploratory instincts.

I am certified in a dozen modalities including Neuromuscular Therapy, Remedial, Sports, Meridian,

Acupressure/Acu-yoga, Biomagnetic Repatterning, Craniosacral, Deep Tissue, Myofacial, Trigger point,

Shiatsu, Polarity, Tui Na, Thai Yoga, Esalen, Prenatal... & more...

Neuromuscular, Sports Massage, Tui na, Aromatherapy, Business Ethics & Meridian Reflexology. Also

certifications in Basic Reflexology & Lymphatic Drainage.

She has an outstanding powerful nurturing technique & a broad understanding of human systems &

anatomy. She possesses a unique healing art through her touch. She specializes in the combination of

techniques using both feather light to a Deep tissue massage and in most cases using the  neuromuscular

rehabilitation/counter strain, trigger-point & relaxation massage combination with an Esalen energy.

Some benefits of massage include calming the nervous system, which can frequently boost energy &

alertness. The immune system can also be boosted by massage providing less opportunity for minor

diseases to enter the bodies systems. When done properly, massage helps rejuvenate, relax, & puts you in

a better state of mind.

What will massage do?

Alleviate low-back pain & improve range of motion.  Assist with shorter, Ease medication dependence.

Enhance immunity by stimulating lymph flow-the body's natural defense system.   Exercise & stretch weak,

tight, or atrophied muscles.   Help athletes of any level prepare for, & recover from, strenuous workouts.

Improve the condition of the body's largest organ - > the skin. Increase joint flexibility.   Lessen effects of

depression & anxiety. Promote tissue regeneration, reducing scar tissue & stretch marks. Pump oxygen &

nutrients into tissues & vital organs, improving circulation. Reduce post surgery adhesions & swelling.

Reduce spasms & cramping. Relax & soften injured, tired, & overused muscles. Release endorphins-

amino acids that work as the body's natural painkiller. Relieve  migraine pain.

There's no denying the power of bodywork. Regardless of the adjectives we assign to it (pampering,

rejuvenating, therapeutic) or the reasons we seek it out (a luxurious treat, stress relief, pain management),

massage therapy can be a powerful ally in your healthcare regiment. Experts estimate that upwards of

ninety percent of disease is stress related.  Perhaps nothing ages us faster, internally & externally, than high

stress. While eliminating anxiety & pressure altogether in this fast-paced world may be idealistic, massage

can, without a doubt, help manage stress. This translates into:

Decreased anxiety.

Enhanced sleep quality.

Greater energy.

Improved concentration.

Increased circulation.

Reduced fatigue.

Furthermore, clients often report a sense of perspective & clarity after receiving a massage. The emotional

balance that bodywork provides can often be just as vital & valuable as the more tangible physical benefits.

Profound Effects

In response to massage, specific physiological & chemical changes cascade throughout the body, with

profound effects. Research shows that with massage: Arthritis sufferers note fewer aches & less stiffness

and pain. Asthmatic children show better pulmonary function & increased peak air flow. Burn injury

patients report reduced pain, itching, & anxiety. High blood pressure patients demonstrate lower diastolic

blood pressure, anxiety, & stress hormones. Premenstrual syndrome sufferers have decreased water

retention & cramping. Preterm infants have improved weight gain.Research continues to show the

enormous benefits of touch-which range from treating chronic diseases, neurological disorders, &

injuries,to alleviating the tensions of modern lifestyles. Consequently, the medical community is actively

embracing bodywork, & massage is becoming an integral part of hospice care & neonatal intensive care

units. Many hospitals are also incorporating on-site massage practitioners to treat post surgery or pain

patients as part of the recovery process. Increase the Benefits with Frequent Visits: Getting a massage can

do you a world of good. Getting massage frequently can do even more. This is the beauty of bodywork.

Taking  part in this form of regularly scheduled self-care can play a huge part in how healthy you'll be &

how youthful you'll remain with each passing year. Budgeting time & money for bodywork at consistent

intervals is truly an investment in your health. And remember:

Just because massage feels like a pampering treat doesn't mean it is any less therapeutic.

Consider massage appointments a necessary piece of your health & wellness plan.
